I forgot to mention that the WOT add-on/extension also informs you if you are visiting a malicious site and thus provides an added layer of security for you. Now that's innovation with a heaping helping of common sense. Bravo!

Even after mulling over the information in this report, I found it impossible for me to utilize Internet Explorer on a day-to-day basis. This is especially true due to my extreme infatuation with Google Chrome. With an array of proper extensions such as WOT (Web of Trust), client-based security software and some common sense, most malicious pitfalls on the Interweb can be easily avoided. So thumbs up to Microsoft for making, and continuing to make, Internet Explorer secure, but as for me, I am too awestruck with the performance and flexibility of Google Chrome to even consider changing my browser.

I forgot to mention the platforms that Carbonite supports. That said, here is the current specifications straight from the Carobonite site:

"The current version of Carbonite is designed for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Carbonite supports both the standard 32-bit and 64-bit versions of each. Carbonite will not support older versions of Windows (Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows ME) or Linux operating systems.

Carbonite is also available for all Intel-based Macs running OS 10.4 (Tiger), 10.5 (Leopard), and 10.6 (Snow Leopard)."

For the latest information on Carbonite please visit http://www.carbonite.com/.
